About the event

Spring is great for birdwatching and South Walney is well known for its incredible bird life! Herring and lesser black-back gulls return to setup their nests, eider ducks are courting and ringed plover are nesting! Learn how to identify coastal birds by sight and sound!

The event will involve walking for up to 2 miles over uneven ground, and it will be getting dark by the time the event ends. However, our friendly guides will walk at a slow pace everyone is comfortable with. This bird watching walk is great for beginners. You must be aged 12 + to attend. Bring sturdy shoes, plenty of layers, and a torch.
