About the event

The day will involve meeting at Gosling Sike, before car sharing to the site, and then a 15-minute walk to the pools where the white-faced darter dragonflies live. We will be gathering and collecting the exuviae, (a fancy word for the skin that dragonfly nymphs shed before they metamorphose into the flying creature we all know) to then be counted to get an idea of the population size.

Expect wet and uneven ground, so wellies are a must.

Please be aware that some events may be cancelled as good weather is essential.

Where: Gosling Sike, Houghton Road, Carlisle CA3 0LD.
