Cumbria Wildlife Trust is seeking a project manager to lead delivery of the final 12 month phase of the award winning Get Cumbria Buzzing project in north and west Cumbria.

Get Cumbria Buzzing is a Cumbria Local Nature Partnership project hosted by Cumbria Wildlife Trust and funded by Highways England and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is based at the Trust’s offices in Houghton just outside Carlisle.

The successful applicant will work with project partners to:

  • Deliver pollinator habitat improvement works across the project area.
  • Organise and deliver a programme of pollinator related training and events.
  • Build relationships with a network of volunteers who will continue the work of the project in their local areas.
  • Undertake all project recording, monitoring and evaluation of work delivered.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level or have significant relevant experience, with experience of staff management, project management and partnership working with a range of stakeholders. They will have skills in leadership, budgeting and communications, be able to work as part of a dynamic team and will be personally effective.

They will have a good knowledge of pollinator and grassland ecology along with the importance of connecting people with nature.
