We’re looking to recruit new volunteers to take on the butterfly surveys at these nature reserves following the retirement of other volunteers.

We need a team of up to six volunteers at Foulshaw Moss, and one volunteer at Hutton Roof, to walk the path ideally once a week from April to September noting all the butterflies they see. Flexibility is essential as the weather has to be warm, sunny and relatively still to be able to do the survey.

Full training in methodology will be given and help with identification will be provided.  We will always try and find a substitute for those weeks you are away or on holiday.
