What is business membership?
Business membership is a fantastic, hassle-free way to demonstrate your commitment to tackling the issues being faced by wildlife and people as a result of climate change, biodiversity loss and other factors.
A business member with Cumbria Wildlife Trust is not only doing the right thing for the planet, its showing its customers it cares for it too.
All our business supporters enjoy these benefits:
- Cumbrian Wildlife members magazine listing (reach our membership database of c. 8,000 households and businesses, three times a year)
- 'What’s On' events guide listing (reach c.16,500 households)
- Cumbria Wildlife Trust website listing (your brand logo and reciprocal link)
- A copy of our Cumbrian Wildlife members magazine three times a year
- Our quarterly Business bulletin newsletter
- Use of our 'Business Supporter of Cumbria Wildlife Trust’ logo to help demonstrate their support.
- Platinum and Gold Members receive a free of charge Wild Work Day for their employees.
How much is it?
Our tiered membership rates are designed to enable a business to choose a level of support that best reflects their ability to support our work. Business membership can be paid annually (bank transfer, cheque or direct debit) or monthly by direct debit.
- Platinum membership is £5,000 per annum
- Gold membership is £2,000 per annum
- Silver membership is £1,000 per annum
- Bronze membership is £500 per annum
- Standard membership is £300 per annum
Affinity based partnership
Many of our business supporters donate to us based on sales of a product or percentage of profits. There is a wide range of different approaches that have been taken by our supporting businesses.
The scale of the donation can be very much tailored to size and scope of your business. We truly value all our supporters from the single entrepreneur business to national or international businesses. Every penny you give is invested in nature's recovery.
One Percent for the Planet
We are accredited as a 1% for the Planet environmental partner and can support your donation as part of that process, providing proof of donations in line with their processes.
Bespoke Projects and wider ranging involvement
Grant funding is a really important part of our funding and ability to undertake critical work.
However, sometimes grants can’t cover some core costs, or come with restrictions upon how we spend the money. Large scale business support can help here, with a business providing support to fund staff, tasks and whole projects that we can’t always get funding for.
Often in these projects we can also adopt innovative new approaches to a task, such as different ways of tree planting, which we wouldn’t always get funding for.
These projects tend to be slightly larger and donations start around £5000 and often can be in place over several years, however we are really keen to discuss different projects and can always find ways to work to suit our business supporters.
Grants Matched funds
Often, we can get access to grants that can fund out work, on some occasions accessing these grants is subject to us finding another supporter who will also contribute.
For example, a grant funder might release £45,000 to us, on the condition that we can find another business to fund £5000. In cases like this your donation of £5000 could open up £50,000 for a critical project.
