Nature Recovery Ecologist
Salary: £34,843 per annum based on a 35-hour working week
Contract length: Fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of permanency

Previous experience engaging with land owners and stakeholders would be desirable, along with building and maintaining positive working relationships with business contracting services, to ensure projects are successfully delivered on time. A good general understanding of Conservation Covenant agreements would also be desirable.
Special Features of the role:
The role will support the development and delivery of the Trust’s activities and goals through conservation covenants and biodiversity net gain (BNG).
The role combines expertise in land conservation and biodiversity enhancement with the goal of achieving measurable long-term improvements in biodiversity while protecting natural resources through conservation covenants and agreements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with landowners to establish conservation covenant agreements that support habitat and biodiversity enhancement and long-term protection.
- Conduct ecological assessments and surveys to gather data.
- Analyze environmental data and produce reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement conservation management plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues, partners and stakeholders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong ecological background, ideally with experience working with biodiversity net gain and a proven track record of managing and delivering their own projects. They will possess a can-do, positive approach and the aptitude to learn.
