This role is for those who wish to take the next step to protect their coastline and the incredible species that live in and around our oceans.

As a marine champion, you will be trained in leading your own marine surveys from the cliffs to the rocky shores.  This is an initial training course, after which you will  spend several sessions with our existing marine champions before completing your training and becoming fully fledged champions of our oceans!

This role will allow you to be on the front lines of data acquisition, which can then be fed to Cumbria Wildlife Trust, allowing them to facilitate the real change needed to protect our seas.  You will also create a sense of community and belonging in the volunteers who you will lead through these sessions.

This volunteer opportunity is fantastic for anyone who wishes to spend more time protecting their oceans or those trying to develop experience for their CVs.  No experience is needed.  All training will come via Cumbria Wildlife Trust.
