Any Day

We have two different surveying needs this summer. The first, part of the Cumbria Grassland Action Plan, will monitor the location and quality of wildlife rich grassland across the National Park.  The second is more general surveying on sites across Cumbria.

We are looking for volunteers, with their own transport, who are able to visit meadows and carry out rapid surveys.  For the National Park project, you would need to be happy visiting a farm alone or in a pair, filling out some basic information about the meadow and carrying out a plant survey.

For both projects, we are not expecting everyone to be an expert; we can provide all the training you need or pair you with someone with more experience so this is a great opportunity to build your knowledge!

With travel, surveys may take around half a day, with the survey season running from June to mid-July.
