About the event

Dr Howard Bell, a distinguished etymologist and government scientist will be talking about the battle to keep out non native pest threats within the UK. Howard will be explaining the various bio and environmental hazards these present and how scientists are trying to combat these threats.

You may recognise him from his appearance on Countryfile in 2018 where he talked to Adam Henson about edible insects! If you are even vaguely interested in bugs, this one is for you
