About the event
Mic Mayhew leads the South Cumbria Pine Marten Recovery Project which aims to restore pine marten populations as part of a coordinated national effort to recover this species. In October this year the project team will complete the second translocation and Cumbrian release of pine martens trapped under licence in the Scottish Highlands, and Mic will join us to provide an update on project activities as well as information on how pine martens coexist with people and other species in woodland ecosystems.
