General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
This procedure is intended for use by anyone who wishes to make a GDPR complaint about the Trust.
Last updated: May 2026.
In order for us to deal with your GDPR complaint as quickly as possible, please complete this form or ask us to post it to you. Part of this includes a request for ID: all GDPR requests or complaints must be accompanied with photographic proof of identity (e.g. passport or driving license) and proof of address (e.g. bank statement, utility bill or TV license) before we can start any investigation, so this is designed to make the process as swift as possible for you.
You do not have to use this form and can complain without using it, but this may delay actioning your complaint if we do not have all the information required.
If your complaint is NOT in relation to GDPR, please see our general complaints procedure.
Our promise to you
- We will acknowledge receipt of your GDPR complaint within 30 days. The acknowledgement will say who is dealing with your complaint and when you can expect a reply
- We will investigate your complaint thoroughly and fairly
- Normally we will write and tell you the outcome of our investigation within two months. Difficult complaints sometimes take a little longer. If so, we will keep you up to date with what is happening
- If we are at fault, we will try to put things right as quickly as possible. In any case we will give you a full explanation
