About the event

Come along to our World Ocean Day strandline search, where Rosie and our Marine Champions will be hunting along the strandline for shells, shark eggcases and more coastal treasures!

This event is preceded by a SeaWatch survey at the same location, so make sure to sign up to both events if you plan to come along to both! (Please note, the SeaWatch survey is suitable for children aged 12 and over).

What to bring:

  1. Dress for the weather; if it is cold bring warm clothes, waterproofs, and plenty of layers. If it’s warm, bring sunhat, suncream, and cooler clothes to protect yourself from the heat.
  2. Plenty of drinks and snacks, water or hot flasks; it’s tiring out on the shore, so make sure you bring lots of fuel to keep yourself going!
  3. Grippy, stable, shoes: regardless of the weather, the rocks can be very slippy. Please wear grippy shoes such as wellies, trainers, or walking boots, to help you to stay safe as you move around on them.

We will meet in the car park before heading onto the shore to see what we can find.

See you on the shore!
