Every single one of our members contributes to helping nature in Cumbria.
Here are just a few examples of the work that our members helped make possible over 2017-2018:
• 3,238 hectares of wildlife habitats on our nature reserves were cared for.
• 2,350 wildflower plug plants were planted at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve.
• 8,000 trees weeded by volunteers at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve.
• 29 wetland scrapes created at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve.
• 475 children took part in our Wildlife Watch groups.
The Wildlife Trusts play a very important part in protecting our natural heritage. I would encourage anyone who cares about wildlife to join them.President Emeritus, The Wildlife Trusts
