SeaFest: a part of Irish Sea Day

About the event
SeaFest is a celebration of the sea and the amazing variety of creatures that live there. Activities will include:
- - Sustainable seafood tasters
- - Live rockpool creatures from Maryport Aquarium
- - Sea shanties
- - Watersports tasters
- - Creating a marine litter mosaic
- - Making sea glass necklaces
- - A fossil sandpit
- - A beach clean
- - A scavenger hunt
- - Sand art by the fantastic Simon Wheatley
- - Performances by the La'al Collective
- - Guided rockpooling
Tickets for this should be booked in advance at Sand Sculpture Competition Tickets, Sat, Aug 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite and a £3 donation per entry is requested.
The festival itself is a drop-in event so you can turn up any time between 10 - 4 without booking. However, if you would like to receive a reminder of this festival a few days in advance, please book tickets above.

Dogs
Please do not bring dogs to the mobile rockpool, as they can harm and scare the rockpool creatures, and make sure your dog is kept under control and on a short lead at all other activities.
