About the event

We’re celebrating bogs at our first Bog Film Festival this summer. The films will feature bogs in Cumbria – how we restored them and why they are special. Event includes film introductions and a Q & A session.

The Bog Film Festival is part of the Great North Bog initiative. The Great North Bog is an ambitious, large-scale peatland restoration initiative being developed by the North Pennines National Landscape team, the Yorkshire Peat Partnership and the Moors for the Future Partnership, together with the Northumberland Peat Partnership, Cumbria Peat Partnership and Lancashire Peat Partnership.
