Eyes on Eycott Hill - an animated film

Filming on location

Eyes on Eycott Hill is a wonderful animated film produced by a group from the Edington Centre in Penrith. The work was inspired by site visits to the nature reserve and stories written by children from local primary schools.

The team worked hard to create the characters, made use of blue screen and stop motion animation techniques to bring them to life, and recorded the dialogue and sound effects. We had a lot of fun in the ‘making of’ film.

The animation was produced with the Haltwhistle Film Project as part of an exciting arts programme with Prism Arts that aims to encourage local groups to respond to the nature reserve in a fun and creative way. The arts programme at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
