New Years Honours
Simon King, The Wildlife Trusts’ vice-president received an OBE for services to wildlife photography and to conservation.
Stephanie Hilborne received an OBE for services to nature conservation. She was appointed as The Wildlife Trusts’ chief executive in 2004. Since then Stephanie has led a radical overhaul of the way the organisation works on a collective level and has been instrumental in uniting all 47 Wildlife Trusts behind their vision for ‘A Living Landscape’ – a large scale well-connected landscape initiative to help wildlife adapt to the challenges of climate change.
Michael Allen, chair of The Wildlife Trusts, said: “We are all delighted at this signal honour and it is recognition of the enormous commitment and energy which Stephanie always shows in our work.”
