Explore the creepier side of Eycott Hill Nature reserve at a spook-tacular Halloween Family Discovery Day.

Come along to our FREE family event at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve on Thursday 26th October to enjoy guided walks, spooky scavenger hunts, nature quizzes, and wildlife themed arts and crafts activities.

Thanks to National Lottery Players, and support from the Heritage Lottery Fund the event and all activities are free of charge. There’s no need to book either, just drop by and join the fun!

Timed events:
Awesome autumn adventure: 1:30pm
Spooky scavenger hunt: 2:45pm

Visitors can also explore the spooky nature table, follow the adventures of Twilight the Raven on a self-led trail, and take part in themed arts and crafts in the marquee at any time between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

There’s also free car parking and a way marked trail of approx. 1 mile to the summit of Eycott Hill. On the way families can admire the view and learn the names of the surrounding fells at the viewpoint, adventure among ancient lava flows that are more than 400 million years old, and lookout for carnivorous plants in the bog! Dogs are welcome at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve but should be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing wildlife and grazing animals.
