Our Fundraising Promise

Posted: Friday 9th May 2014 by foulshaw-moss-osprey-viewpoint

It wasn't too long after the ospreys arrived at Foulshaw that the female started spending more time sitting on the nest. Around April 20th she eventually settled down and our cameras captured her both day and night on the nest. The image was taken by our cameras using infra-red. The 'black LED' technology that the cameras use doesn't disturb the birds as no flash is necessary.

Currently she never leaves the nest and may be sitting on eggs. The nest bowl is too deep for the camera to capture a view of what she is hiding!
