Volunteering opportunities at Gosling Sike near Carlisle

Big Lunch Gosling Sike. Cumbria Wildlife trust Michelle Waller

We have a number of opportunities for volunteers to get involved at our new centre and wildlife garden at Gosling Sike near Carlisle.

We currently need:

  • Garden volunteers to help us plant and look after a community wildlife garden
  • Centre and event volunteers to meet and greet visitors, inspire the community about local wildlife, and help out at a range of events.
  • Office volunteers to assist with office administration and organisation, data entry, and marketing jobs to help the centre and our events run smoothly

For visitor-facing roles like garden, centre, and event volunteers a friendly and welcoming nature is essential, as well as being able to work with people from diverse backgrounds. For office volunteers we are looking for good organisational skills and experience of using computers. Above all, we are looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to help with a range of different tasks. Training and support will be provided where needed.

If you are interested in any of these roles please contact Jody Ferguson on 01228 829578 or jodyf@cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk
