More about this opportunity

During the winter many visitors come to South Walney to see the grey seals and their pups.  We are looking for new volunteers to work on a rota basis as part of our team of volunteers greeting visitors to the reserve.  Over the winter this will mainly be at weekends and can be arranged to suit your availability.  You do not need to be a wildlife expert,  just willing to chat to people about the site and the interesting things to see.

Our visitor facilities have had a transformation recently with a new visitor cabin offering hot drinks, space to watch the live seal cam and lots of info about the reserve.
