Wildlife has a special place in all our hearts. From owls to otters, and badgers and bees, being surrounded by the wonders of nature makes us happier and healthier.

We care passionately about wildlife & wild places. We're here to put wildlife back into our land and seascapes to make Cumbria a wilder county with more space for nature. We restore and connect wild places, work with nature to tackle the climate emergency and support people to take local action for wildlife.

Here are just a few examples of the work that our members helped make possible over 2022-2023:
- 3,701 hectares managed for wildlife.
- 91 hectares of peatland restored at 6 locations
- 80.4 hectares pollinator habitat restored or created at community locations.
- 33,441 wildflowers grown in our plant nursery.
- 151 young & disadvantaged people learnt new skills as volunteers at our plant nursery.
- 4 schools were helped to make their grounds better for wildlife.
- 3,223 people engaged at Wild Well-being Days.
