About the event

This is a fantastic way to explore your local area and discover the weird and wonderful creatures that live there, while also helping to gather scientific data.

We will meet at the car park at the end of West Shore Road at 12:45 before walking to the beach. Please be aware that this will involve walking over uneven ground, including rocks.

We will conduct a walkover survey, where we will record all the species we find in a fixed area. We will then conduct a timed species search, where we look for specific indicator species which reflect the health of the ecosystems, climate change, and the spread of invasive species.

Please don't worry if you don't have any experience, we will have plenty of experts and ID guides on hand and look forward to helping you learn all about the critters found on Earnse Bay!
