Dynamic Dunescapes Conservation Day at Haverigg Dunes
About the event
Working alongside rangers we will be undertaking some scrub bashing along the Haverigg coastline - a hearty winter's activity..
We will be opening up some overgrown dune slacks by removing willow and scrub and burning it on site. This will help restore the pools for the natterjack toads, specialised plants and invertebrates as part of the Dynamic Dunescapes project.
Ideally volunteers will be able to attend more than one of the four work days and be interested in being trained up to identify and remove invasive species or get involved in other practical tasks throughout the project.
Booking essential. Goup size is limited to 6. To book please contact Eve Mulholland
Please do not attend if you show any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with covid. Please adhere to social distancing at all times.
