Meet Sue Thurley, Barrow’s Wildside Project Officer
Sue Thurley of Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s Barrow's Wildside project is holding three drop-in sessions for people wanting to find out more about the project and how they can get involved.

Barrow’s Wildside is an exciting new project that aims to improve green spaces in Barrow for wildlife and the local community. These sessions are a great opportunity for people to ask the Project Officer questions and to give their point of view as to how Barrow could be improved for wildlife.

Sue Thurley, Barrow’s Wildside Project Officer said: “You may like to improve a green space near to where you live but don't know where to start, or you may want to volunteer to help with conservation work around Barrow. These drop-in sessions are for local people to tell us what activities and opportunities they would like.”

“We are hoping to get lots of local people taking part in the project. Being outside and closer to nature improves well-being and there are loads of exciting plans for young and old people a like. You and your family can get involved in walks, training, and practical conservation work.”

To find out more attend one of the drop-in sessions at:

  • Barrow Market , Wednesday 13 April, 12pm-3pm.
  • Neighbourhood Management offices, Dalton Road, Friday 15 April, 2pm-3pm.
  • Barrow Park Pavilion, Saturday 16 April, 12pm-3pm.
