Flower Power: the wildflower grasslands of Cumbria exhibition at Tullie House 24 April to 9 July
This collaborative exhibition between Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Tullie House celebrates the delights of the county’s flower-rich grasslands, looking at the beauty of the flowers and the different places in which they grow, as well as the folklore surrounding them. It also explores some of the insects and birds that depend on them. The display also looks at projects led by Cumbria Wildlife Trust to enhance and recreate new wildflower meadows in Cumbria. In some places wildflowers are colonising new ground on old industrial sites – flower power indeed!
