Orton Moss - urgent appeal for help

A small part of Orton Moss was Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s first ever land purchase back in 1964.   Now, a much larger section of the moss is for sale at auction. Cumbria Wildlife Trust would like to purchase the land in order to secure its ortonviews8.jpgfuture for wildlife and expand our existing nature reserve. We are asking you to please help us secure this land by making a financial pledge towards the land purchase.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust voices concerns over planning of power stations

Cumbria Wildlife Trust has expressed concern about Government announcements made this month that the new, unelected Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC), will be able to fast-track major projects such as ports and power stations.
