Have some Wild Days Out with Cumbria Wildlife Trust this summer
Come along to Cumbria Wildlife Trust's BIG Wild Days Out this summer with your kids and explore the natural world through play. This is your chance for you and your children aged between 5 and 12 years to get active and enjoy the great outdoors.

There will be the chance to take part in energetic outdoor games and activities; each one is based on one of three themes taken from the natural world: come along to the Wild about Seas day at St Bees, the Wild about Woodlands near Keswick or the Wild about Gardens near Kendal.

The BIG Wild Days Out, which are funded by the BIG Lottery Fund, are going to be filmed and turned into a YouTube video. The videos will then be available to you and others so you can recreate the activities in your own time and spread the message.

BIG Wild Days Out are being held on the following dates:

  • Wild about Seas - Sunday 7th August, St Bees near Whitehaven. This is part of Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Beached Art day
  • Wild about Woodlands - Saturday 13th August, Whinlatter Forest near Keswick
  • Wild about Gardens - Saturday 20th August, Plumgarths near Kendal.

If you want to learn about wildlife by taking part, come join in the fun! To book your place (spaces are limited), call Graham Jackson-Pitt on 01539 816 306 or email him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The BIG Wild Days Out are being funded by the BIG Lottery Fund and all the days are free of charge.
