Event details

Wed, 06/03/2013 - 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Despite a very wet 2012, the upland peatbogs are at risk. In an illustrated talk, Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Simon Thomas will describe why they are important for both nature conservation and flood control, and what is being done to prevent erosion and excessive drainage. Entry is a suggested donation of £2.00 for adults and free for children and includes refreshments. Children aged over eight years are welcome. Organised by Kendal Local Support Group.
