Cumbria Wildlife Trust urges you to help it turn Facebook wild for Valentine's Day |
|
Join Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Valentine's Day virtual event on Facebook and change your profile picture to an image of your favourite British wildlife, be it a squirrel, seal or snake. By doing so, you will be supporting British Wildlife and showing your friends that you care about our butterflies, bats and badgers.
The Trust is even providing a couple of birds, Ivy and Nick, for you to use if you haven't a wildlife picture to hand. Ivy and Nick are named after two of the Trust's nature reserves, Ivy Crag Wood near Keswick, and Nichols Moss near Kendal.
Michelle Waller, who works at the Trust and who will be joining the virtual event, said, 'I'm changing my profile picture to one of an otter. I recently saw the otter family in the lake at Ambleside and it was brilliant. They are such beautiful animals and one that I certainly love to watch.'
To join the Valentines' Day event, all you have to do is change your Facebook profile picture to that of our local wildlife and click on to Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Facebook page and head to the events page - but make sure you've done this by Valentine's Day! Once you've joined the event, you might also win a little surprise.
Go on. Show your wild love by changing your profile picture and invite all your friends to do the same. See you there!
